The Heatherstone Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is an organization made up of Heatherstone parents and teachers working together toward a common goal – enhancing the educational experience of our children.  Sure, much of what we do is fundraising, but just look at what we’re able to do for our students with the money we raise through events such as the Heatherstone Family Fun Run:  We provide money for field trips, classroom subscriptions, new gym equipment and library books.  We sponsor groups and activities such as Chess Club, WATCH DOGS and Lunch-N-Listen / Chat-and-Chew. This year we’ll also pay for both 5th and 6th grade promotion ceremonies.   We host an ice cream social to welcome our students and families at the start of each new school year and we provide hospitality for our teachers and staff during conferences.  We organize two book fairs and several skating parties throughout the year.  PTO members also coordinate the publication of our yearbook as well as direct traffic every morning and afternoon so that our students can get to and from school as safely as possible.

 As you can see – the list is long and our projects are varied.  We love what we do and are very appreciative of the support of our Heatherstone families and our community.
