Volunteers Needed!

The success of the event is largely dependent on the contribution of many volunteers who help conduct the event.
Listed below are the areas of need for volunteers at this time. If you’d like to help in any of the ways listed, please contact the event organizers at the “Contact” page near the
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Race Course
- Water Stations (2 groups of 5 volunteers handing out water cups to the racers as they run by on the 5K route)
- Course Monitors (A minimum of 16 volunteers needed to direct runners along the way and monitoring any passing street traffic)
- Finish Line Spotters (6 people to identify winners of the various race divisions and to pass out participation medals to the Heatherstone students who complete the race)
- Food stations (4 people to pass out water, bananas and bagels to the finishers in the Post Race Tent)
- Carnival Games Individuals to run the various games/inflatables and rides – some of which are listed here:
- Wild One Obstacle Course
- Dunk Tank
- Dual Accelerator Slide
- Tiger Belly Bouncer
- Revenge of the Sea
- Ring Toss
- Color Wheel
- The Bomb
- Frog Flinger
- Monkey Madness
- Gopher Hole
- Kaplunk
- Ski Ball
- Snag-a-Bag
- Cake Walk
- Celebrities Caterer (8 people are needed to help work in this area. Jobs include helping to check in pre-paid customers or sell new meal tickets and to help serve the meals)
- Setup – (Volunteers are needed to help arrange the Silent Auction tables, carnival games, and the race start/finish line.)
- Cleanup – (when the event ends, help is needed in picking up trash, putting away tables and chairs, and other miscellaneous tasks)
